Unit Camping

With the additions to the Cub Scout and Boy Scout Camping Requirements in full effect now, units are encouraged to participate in Den, Pack, Patrol, and/or Troop Campouts!

(Keep in mind that proper leadership on all campouts should be maintained as defined in the Guide to Safe Scouting.)

Many opportunities are available for unit camping from local campsites to state parks as well as our own Council Camps. In addition to popular summer camp programs, Rhodes France serves as a site for Scout unit camping during the rest of the year. Units can use the campsites and several cabins to provide Scouts with outdoor experience and opportunity for advancement.

Units can also reserve the campsites at Camp Kickapoo on scenic Lake Sara in Effingham for camping opportunities.

Be sure to make your reservation as soon as possible as weekends fill up quickly!
