Contingent Campout Taking Place - Jan. 27-29 - All currently registered Jamboree Participants should plan to attend the Contingent campout on January 27-29 taking place at Brad O'Clen near Arthur. Plans include a Friday night cracker barrel, swimming Saturday in Sullivan for Jamboree swim-checks, opportunities to get to know your fellow contingent members and the leaders. Attendance for contingent members is important as information will be shared and Scouts will have a chance to meet each other and the contingent leaders. Download the flyer for more information...

The LTC Jamboree Contingent only has 9 spots left for youth to attend the 2017 National Scout Jamboree at the Summit in West Virginia!  The Jamboree will be held July 19-28, 2017. Contact the LTC Service Center if you know of someone interested in one of these spots!

Lincoln Trails Council has committed to two Scout groups representing the Council at the 2017 National Jamboree:
                       
Boy Scout Troop: 36 Youth and 4 Adult Leaders
Scouts must be a registered member of a Troop; have earned First Class rank; be 12 years old before the first day of the Jamboree (July 19, 2017) or be 11 and have completed the 6th grade, but not turn 18 before the last day of the Jamboree (July 28, 2017).

Venturing Crew: 8 Venturers and 2 Adult Leaders.  Venturers must be a registered member of a Crew and not turn 21 before the last day of the Jamboree (July 28, 2017).

Visit the Summit Bechtel Reserve Page (www.bsajamboree.org) and click on the “REGISTER” link to sign-up online.  You will need your BSA ID number.  You must print out your confirmation email and send it and your $500 deposit to: Lincoln Trails Council, 262 W Prairie Avenue, Decatur, IL 62523.  We will not accept your deposit without a hard copy of your email confirmation. 

When submitting the application online, a parent email is requested.  The parent will receive an email to fill our a parental consent form.  This must be done and submitted for the Scout to be a recognized applicant.  The contingent will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. 

Once the contingent is full, a first come, first serve waiting list will be kept for alternates in the event that a spot becomes available. 

The total cost for the Jamboree will be $2,000 and will include Jamboree participation, transportation, food, pre-Jamboree meetings/events, Council T-shirt, Council Jamboree Shoulder Strips, and more.  For more information contact Jamboree Staff Advisor Matt Kaufman at matt.kaufman@scouting.org
